The OBJ patch combines the abilities of iontophoresis to mobilize drug molecules with electroporation's ability to control the behavior of the dermal barrier effect.

However it controls both of these independently and does so in a totally reversible, minimally invasive manner. It then combines these features with wireless convenience and on-board microprocessor control. This is the first non-occlusive, active delivery solution that is largely independent of molecular size, lipophilicity or the charge characteristics of the molecules to be delivered. Yet, the OBJ technology is economical enough for single use disposable applications and gentle enough for even cosmetic and skin care applications.
